IPhone Cases from Society 6

I’m in the market for a new IPhone case since the one I bought in Japan busted… well, “Japan” at Epcot Center in Disney World (that is extremely dorky I know, but as a mom, it’s pretty much the only “foreign” locale I go these days). The best selection has to be at Society6 with hundreds of cases to choose from. The site itself is pretty cool — sourcing designs from artists all over the world to grace their cases, as well as canvases, t-shirts, hoodies and more. Check out some of the designs above. It’s going to be tough to pick just one!

Etsy Friday Finds: Wonder Thunder

Shop: Wonder Thunder

Specializes in: Organic reusable vegetable bags and tea towels.

Feedback: 100% Positive

Ships from: Seattle

Ever since I had my two boys I’ve seen my investment in plastic baggies and tupperware containers grow exponentially to the point where it’s embarrassing, both for my used-to-be-hip kitchen and the environment. So it’s finally time I bring the cool back to the kitchen and give Mother Nature a bit more love. Enter Wonder Thunder, another great Etsy shop filled with stuff you didn’t know you needed but now cannot get enough of. I love their adorably designed reusable veggie and sandwich bags and their graphic print organic tea towels. My favorite has to be the ‘Write A Letter’ towel where the kids can draw pictures and write a letter with the provided fabric marker. Makes for a great gift!

Etsy Friday Finds: The Vintage Supply Company

Shop: The Vintage Supply Company Presents: The Modern Historic

Specializes in: Vintage furniture, home goods, accessories and clothing

Feedback: 99% Positive

Ships from: West Palm Beach, FL

There truly is no shortage of treasures to be found on Etsy, and The Vintage Supply Company is no exception. Once Mid-Century Modern went mainstream again it became harder for most consumers to find quality vintage pieces, with flea markets and antique stores everywhere becoming picked over, which is why the Internet has been key. The Vintage Supply Company is stocked with original collector’s items in good condition, from Saarinen Tulip chairs to Hollywood Regency cocktail tables to various pieces of Danish modern furniture, you’ll find it all here. I got drawn in by the fabulous Hollywood Regency bench with nailhead detail in the large picture above, but Mad Men aficionados and history buffs alike will appreciate the carefully curated selection of 40′s and 50′s dresses as well as the fondue pots and serving pieces from the 60′s. Art collectors, there are currently three original Chenco paintings in the shop, along with several other mid-century pieces. The shop is based in West Palm Beach so it really is no wonder that they get their hands on some of the best pieces out there!

The Dancing Queen
New Year’s Eve is like your personal National Holiday and you go all out. Dancing all night in the VIP area means an outfit that is anything but a wallflower. Try a pretty silk jewel-toned blouse with sequin shorts, tights and sky-high heels for added drama.

New Year's Going Out

The Rest of Us
Let’s be honest here, for most of us New Year’s Eve is just another night these days and staying out until dawn only means we’ll be walking in the door when the kids are getting up. As for me, I’m planning a low-key night with friends but it’s still a fun excuse to up the usual casual attire. Jeans and a plain shirt can be accessorized with a scarf, comfy shoes and a nice watch.
