Super Bowl Sunday: 15 Game Day Activities & Crafts for Kids

I am what you’d call a football widow. Just about every Sunday from September through February, I hang out with the kids while my husband is off watching the game with other “yell at the TV even though they can’t hear you” types. I’m cool with this arrangement, because frankly I find the sight of grown men screaming at an electronic device while simultaneously doing acrobatic pelvic thrusts and fist pumps to be odd, at best. Plus, I get to watch the Golden Globes and Oscars in relative peace so you know, my two events stacked up against a whole season and post-season of football is totally equal, right?

But some of you out there, I hear through the grapevine, actually enjoy watching the game and I’m sure this Sunday will absolutely be no exception. Hell, I may even watch more than just the commercials since our hometown team is playing. So then the question begs, what to do with the kids if the most-of-the-time babysitter (I’m talking to you, Moms) wants to actually sit and watch people run with the ball and score points or touchdowns or whatever it is that they do. We’ve tackled that problem and run to the end zone in order to score you some free time (appropriate football jargon? Check!). Here’s our list of fun activities and crafts to help keep your mini football fans entertained while your husbands wait patiently for the Victoria’s Secret ad to air.
