Striped Shirts for cool kids and mamas

This weekend, my alma mater, Boston College, won the National Hockey Championship and I was reminded of a very cool site to get high quality, hip t-shirts in your school colors. My friend Laura started stripedshirt.com out of a need for “fashionable fan-wear built just for you with two color combination stripes to match your team.” I have one in maroon and gold, and honestly, it’s one of the most comfortable and soft shirts I own. This video shows more about Laura’s brand mission and how cool the shirts look on babies, kids and adults. Check out the color choices below. If you don’t see your school colors, be sure to vote on the home page for the next combo launch!

Etsy Friday Finds: Ikabags

Shop: Ikabags

Specializes in: 100% Handmade bags, purses, totes

Feedback: 100% Positive

Ships from: Paris, France

I have a bag problem… I know it. My last Etsy post was about this cool shop specializing in bags and once again, I’m posting about another incredible shop selling, well, bags! Ikabags is a hugely popular Etsy store (1818 counts of feedback as I write this) and I think what makes these totes and purses so awesome are a few things: Parisian flair, 100% handmade craftsmanship and a fantastic price point for what you get. With most items coming in around $65 – $75, they made great gifts for the person who has everything — or is just obsessed with bags — like me!

As a brunette with olive skin, I love me some jewel tones. The richer the color, the better but what’s great about this palette is that anyone can pull it off. Check out these super fun finds with fashionably low prices to give yourself a color infusion this winter!

Fashion Finds Under Fifty: Black Stripes

One of my new year’s resolutions should probably be ‘to buy things without stripes’ because I’m pretty much obsessed. Every time I go shopping I make a B-line to anything with vertical or horizontal lines. I kind of blame my mom for this one because pretty much everything she dressed me in when I was little was striped (but if I had my way back then it would have been lavender and pink unicorns — thank goodness she stepped in). As part of our “Fashion Finds Under Fifty,” here are some cool black and white striped picks. And I cannot tell a lie…I bought that Piperlime number last week!
