I was recently at my friend’s house for a BBQ and she has twin two year olds who had the coolest shoes on. I’m not sure if these are new, or just new to me, but Natives are cute and comfy, and my kids just love them. I got ours at Zappos, just in time for summer. The color choices are hip, and I’m very thankful for a shoe more fashionable Crocs, but with the same slip-on-and-off factor.

New Year’s Outfits for Every Type of Gathering
New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, and no matter what your plans, it’s a great excuse to get your shop on for a new outfit. Going out dancing? We’ve got your covered. Dinner at a nice restaurant? I think we’ve got your outfit planned. Drinks at home with friends? We’ve got ideas for that too.
The Gourmet Reveler
You’re hitting a great restaurant for good food, good conversation and good drinks. Try some velvet flare jeans, a sparkly top and accessories to match.
The Social Butterfly
Plans to swing by a few low-key parties calls for some shoes that can help your feet last all night. Try some studded flats along with a lacy blouse, fun silver accessories and killer jeans.
The Dancing Queen
New Year’s Eve is like your personal National Holiday and you go all out. Dancing all night in the VIP area means an outfit that is anything but a wallflower. Try a pretty silk jewel-toned blouse with sequin shorts, tights and sky-high heels for added drama.
The Rest of Us
Let’s be honest here, for most of us New Year’s Eve is just another night these days and staying out until dawn only means we’ll be walking in the door when the kids are getting up. As for me, I’m planning a low-key night with friends but it’s still a fun excuse to up the usual casual attire. Jeans and a plain shirt can be accessorized with a scarf, comfy shoes and a nice watch.
What are your New Year’s Eve plans this year?
